It's been a couple of days now since the official launch of the new Reeder app for iOS and macOS. But actually my very first impressions were not at all different from the opinions I have about this app now. It's really hard for me to say when I loved a new app like that right from the beginning. The new Reeder app is exactly how I work and think in terms of news feeds of all sorts all across the internet. The app is glorious, capable, flawless and incredibly beautiful. It's been definitely the right move of the swiss developer Silvio Rizzi to go that route. read more…

Right in the middle of 2024 it seems AI is everywhere. Certainly every electronic device is now shipped with some form of AI, cars use AI, cameras use AI, even fridges and toasters use AI. In this second part of my review of the best writing apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad I wanted to mention all those apps that didn't make it in the first list of essential apps from last week. These apps here in part two aren't bad apps at all. This is just a selection of apps that I personally struggle to use or are certain niche apps that follow a very specific goal but aren't that universal to call them "essential" apps. It was rather hard for me to make a second, alternative list of app contenders of 2022 but my complete review of all the different apps just got way too long for just one single post. I hope you enjoy reading it anyway. Here we go. Round two. read more…
This time I'm going to write a bit off topic. This post post and also the next one hopefully coming out in the following week will be not so much about images or photography, instead they will be more about getting and using the right apps. This time I will focus on writing apps, but expect more posts to come about other app categories as well. read more…
